Day 4 of my Hell-bourne Holiday.

Still exhausted from what seemed like a week in the car, I struggled from the coffin yesterday morning to dress in my finest Edwardian spooky gear to explore the realm of Tutankhamen. Melbourne museum had an exquisite display of collected Egyptian artifacts from the era of Tutankhamen's reign. No, no photography allowed. They were even clear 'No sketching' either. That was a shock to me, and the security were sure doing their job so i didn't want to try anything, lest my diary be frisked away.
Some of my favourite pieces included a huge blue glass ankh, a decrepit wooden statue of Sekhmet, and a small statuette of Bastet.
After over an hour of exploring, i enjoyed a spicy middle eastern soup at the Egyptian themed cafe with my Dad who rushed off as soon as we entered the exhibit, so i was alone for the whole thing feeling a bit 'curse of the mummy'.
As it turned out, there were no mummies!!!! A shock for me as i have been to the British natural history museum where they are crudely hurled one on top of each other in viewing rooms, as well as la lourve' in Paris where things are more respectfully displayed.
Still, it was worth my Dad paying the entry fee and i did buy the companion book which left me broke...

After hours of shopping and gathering goodies, i met up in the evening with the lovely, leopard print wearing Kerrie. It's really odd how the cafe's in Hell-bourne haggle for your custom. We found a cute place to dine which promised us first drink and tapas for free. Well, as it turns out it wasn't any drink ... which IS what the chickie out front said... Kerrie haggled herself an espresso martini while I had to make do with rum... then our gorgeous mains arrived ... but our tapas never came!!!! (apparently it was given to another table. )We kicked up a fuss, but secretly were too full. It completely worked in our favor as we ended up with MORE espresso martini's!  (glug glug om om)
Then more Melbourne wanderings and checking out odd bar's with random art ... we called it a night and I put up my weary hooves for a good nights rest.

The outfit for Tutankhamen! (plus excuse the blurry photos, my camera is fucked)

Today was slightly more relaxed, swanning around Dad's apartment not doing alot ...Then i met up with Alan for the lunch that never was as the place we went didn't accept credit. I did have enough change for coffee which is always good :D and it was actually good there. After chatter and catching up for an hour or so i drifted home ...

I wonder what thrills and excitement lay ahead in the last 2 days in Hell-bourne city...
Hopefully I'll have better luck with my dinning experiences than the last few days haha.

The Adventure so far

The last two days have been so fun, weird, chill, exhausting....
I've been road tripping with my Dad to Hell-bourne, from Bris-vania. About 20 hours driving, & many pit stops, steak breaks and energy drinks later i am now- finally- chilling in his apartment.
Ok, so i don't have the freedom to go on the town, get sloshed, but i am due some relaxation after being bed ridden for a week with influenza & stressed as fuck with Uni.

rawww!

I found a nifty place called the crystal kingdom, no... no drugs :P but it did have a fossil gallery, crystals, and a museum on Australian mineral deposits! Best place to stretch my hooves and claws.

Lower jaw of a kangaroo- look at the chompers DeeKay!!!!

My new dragon egg :D
Actually its dalmatian jasper, but i love it, its so pritty and it hums in my hand. We are good friends now.

The view from my apartment <3

& this is how a grubby Jekki, who's been on the road since 6am this morning looks like- like she needs a cider and a shower! I look metal haha. Brutally sweaty <3
Anyway - share ur adventures and stories with me. What are your holiday plans or midweek mischief's???

Dark Blessings
