Welcome ghouls, graverobbers, corpses, weres, vampyre, monsters, creatures, fashion victims, drag queens, muso's & all the other unmentionables i forgot to mention!
Initially this wasn't to be a particularly personal blog. I wanted to highlight things that fascinate me... alternate artists, bands, fashionista's, writers, performers...locally & internationally. I wanted to praise these people for their talent, their strength, their dedication to their creative fields, the sacrifice's they've made- but, how can i truly write about these things dispationatly, this simply wouldn't do them justice. Media dictates that sex sells (gasp/shock/horror!) but, why does sex sell... because it touches something primal, and instinctual that we can all relate to (even priests/bwahaha), that raw emotional response or that animalistic craving. i guess what im trying to say is, i cant drop the emotion from this, as my emotional response's to these alternate artists are what landed me in the situation of wanting a blog (to bring them the attention they deserve) in the first place.
so, i have resolved to write this how i see fit/no matter what/with honesty.
It's a personal decision to start a blog, so why leave out the personal stuff...?? why a particular alt/fashion style is important, or why Dir en grey & lady gaga changed my life, why i no longer consider myself goth (just a gore-whore), why i love Aussie metal/punk/rock/alternate bands, why i adore spooky surreal art, tattoo's, suspension, boots, skeletons, werewolves, orcs.... ok the list could go on!
basically, i hope i get allot of people reading this.
I am an amateur writer but i do not plan to stay that way. I love writing, I love sharing all my dark little obsessions with the world, its no fun to explore alone... & support & feedback would be wonderful. not just for me, but for the people i am writing about.
Who know's, ... through this you might discover an amazing band you can see locally, wicked fashion right next door, you're next favorite horror movie or the next book that becomes your bible.
Discovery keeps me alive, i hate to be bored, i love to find something amazing and new to be drawn to... to dissect and devour...
whether it be burlesque, sci fi, 80's music, heavy metal, or corsetry---- there is something odd quirky & wonderful in this blog for everyone... just be patient as i write the little article's for your cannibalistic pleasure...
( I study full time, have 2 jobs & am always psychotically busy with social lives/hobbies/interests & obsessions)
In conclusion, i welcome you into the inner sanctum of my personal obsessions, enjoy, destroy & share the love & longing that is the way of the alternate community & alternate life.
